In 2001, SEO/Birdlife, the oldest conservationist organisation in Spain, set up Riet Vell S. A. to promote the production and commercialization of bird- friendly organic crops. The company's aim is to prove their viability and promote environmentally-friendly agricultural practices in areas of natural beauty and where these practices are of vital importance for the conservation of certain species of plants, flowers and birds . Riet Vall S. A. is now expanding this initiative to other crops and products in Spain and overseas. Our philosophy is to offer to the consumer healthy, top-quality nutritional products which are grown in areas of great natural beauty respecting ecological agricultural legislation and organic farming practice .
